What is Nihongo (にほんご OR 日本語) and Nihon (にほん OR 日本)? Why is it important to know?

Well, It is not so so important topic but still I think if you know it (even if you are beginner), it will help you in a long run and also I will be using these 2 words a lot in upcoming blog posts. So if you have decided to read my blog often then you should read it. (Haha)

So, When we are learning any language, at least we should know what is it called in that own language. 

for example: 

  • English Language is called ENGLISH in English
  • Spanish Language is called Español in Spanish
  • Hindi Language is called हिन्दी in Hindi
Just like that 
  • Japanese Language is called NIHONGO【にほんご OR 日本語】in Japanese.
  • Same way Japan (Country) is called NIHON 【にほん OR 日本】in Japanese.

In Short,
Japan (Country) = NIHON
Japanese Language = NIHONGO

These are just basic words. So make sure you remember. In the upcoming next post we will actually start learning Japanese (Nihongo).

Note: I will use these 2 words so many times in my upcoming posts. Because typing "Japanese Language" many times is めんどくさい (mendokusai - Bothersome).
